Our report “Identifying Opportunities at the Interface of Chemistry and Quantum Information Science” is out on the NASEM site. Quantum Information Science (QIS) is an emerging field that focuses on understanding and manipulating the physical phenomena that are associated with information acquisition, transmission, and processing. Deeper understanding of QIS could lead to development of novel tools and technologies with the potential to revolutionize the fields of science and engineering. Using chemical approaches is a promising strategy to investigate information systems at the molecular and atomic levels.
